True to its name, Rustic Root showcases a dynamic menu of rustic American cuisine with a spotlight on locally sourced meats, produce and seafood and house-made ingredients by our culinary team. Our multi-level space includes a 500 square-feet downstairs patio that opens to the main dining room on the lower floor as well as the only rooftop restaurant in the Gaslamp.
Our craft cocktail program was thoughtfully designed by notable mixologist, Garth Flood. We believe tradition should be upheld and the craft of timeless cocktails deserves to be respected. We stay true to old favorites, following original recipes, down to their respective glassware. Each drink is paired with a unique garnish meant to complement each cocktail and pay homage to its intended flavor. For shot lovers, we’ve created shooter versions of the classics you crave.
Let us host your special event!
Reserve space in our dining room, party on our rooftop overlooking the Gaslamp, or let us come to you for your next company party, meeting, birthday, or anniversary! We can accommodate groups as small as 20 to large events with 350 guests. For more information about hosting your event click here!

Literally everything we had was delicious, you can't go wrong with any of the menu items.
Another great addition from RMD! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable; as well as very accomodating. Great staff, great food, great drinks; it's basically the perfect ambiance.
It's not every day that I leave a restaurant trying to figure out how quickly I can find and excuse to go back, but I'm already jonesin' for more Rustic Root.
